Sidewalk Hospitality
Our Projects
We are a hospitality company that focuses on building and operating places that bring people together.
In 2022, we opened Harvey's Garden. Located on Syracuse’s Near Eastside, Harvey’s Garden is a lively gathering place where food, drinks, and community come together. The space features a rotating lineup of local food trucks, a curated beer hall with 24 self-pour draft taps, seasonal cocktails, and plenty of room to enjoy—whether you’re meeting friends after work or settling in for an afternoon.
Harvey’s Garden was created to feel welcoming and inclusive—a space built for connection. From live music and special events to easygoing weeknight hangs, it’s designed to bring neighbors and visitors together time and time again.
In 2024, we opened The Cabinet Room. Tucked discreetly inside Harvey’s Garden and accessed through a hidden bookcase, The Cabinet Room is an intimate cocktail bar designed for discovery. Once inside, guests are welcomed into a cozy, elevated atmosphere centered around craft cocktails and thoughtful hospitality.
Open to the public Thursday through Saturday, The Cabinet Room is also available for private bookings, making it an ideal setting for celebrations, small gatherings, tastings, and curated events. It’s a space that feels secret, personal, and a little magical—by design.
Opening in early 2026, The Mizpah will be a wine sanctuary and event space designed to bring people together for life’s most meaningful moments. From weddings and galas to fundraisers and everything in between, The Mizpah will serve as a versatile venue for both intimate gatherings and large-scale celebrations.
The space will feature a thoughtfully curated, self-serve wine wall alongside a full-service bar. Housed in a building that stood vacant for decades, The Mizpah represents a new chapter—one that invites the community inside to experience a one-of-a-kind venue in the heart of Syracuse.
This project marks the next evolution of our vision: restoring historic spaces and transforming them into places that feel welcoming, intentional, and shared. We look forward to opening our doors and welcoming guests to create new memories here. Follow @themizpahsyr on Instagram for updates as construction progresses.

Who We Are
Michael Greene- Founder
Michael oversaw the successful development of Harvey's Garden from a vacant warehouse to food truck park and beer hall.
He formerly served as the President Pro Tempore of the Syracuse Common Council and works as the Director of City Real Estate at CBD Brokerage. In 2021, Michael ran for Mayor of Syracuse, losing the primary election by 36 votes.
While on the Council, Michael introduced the legislation to create Syracuse's first municipal sidewalk program. Good sidewalks are important because they create connections—not just between places, but between people, fostering community and bringing us together. Sidewalk Hospitality works to channel that spirit to create places that connect communities.
Michael has a BS from Cornell University and an MBA from CUNY Baruch.
Anthony Tringale- Director of Fun
Eight years ago, Anthony Tringale launched Eat Local New York, a social media account with an intent to inspire diners to choose locally owned restaurants.
What began as an account featuring reshared photos from restaurants has become a stream of original videos, stories, and even events, like Eat Local New York Restaurant Week.
With 82,000 followers on Instagram and 111,000 on Facebook, Tringale uses his voice not to review but to amplify. His posts celebrate the hardworking families behind the restaurants and incite weekend road trips.
From Buffalo to Potsdam, Eat Local New York connects us to the dishes and people defining our state.
